How to Write a Statement of Purpose?

1. Ponder
To identify varied aspects of one’s candidature such as academic achievements (right from the schooling), previous work exposure, and experiences. You can create a structure for the document by asking the following questions:
Areas of study?
Reasons to pursue this degree?
Growth path/ expectations the degree can offer me?
How can I grow personally and professionally after completing the course?
What values can I add to this program?
2. Formulate
It’s time to write a scratch outline for the document. Some essential tips are:
Describe career aspirations and objectives. Focus centrally on maintaining authenticity. Elaborate on your advantageous perception of the chosen course.
Creatively put a few words on personal and professional interests. What is your trigger/ passion/excitement and build a seamless connection with your skills.
3. Revise and Modify
Once you have jotted down every detail, the concluding step is to revise and make changes accordingly.
Tips: The word limit for a statement of purpose is between 500 and 1000.
